read for comprehension and understanding...

assalamu'alaikum and hi to all,

the learning continues. there are a lot more articles to read and some of them needed to be commented on and written as part of an assignment for one of my classes. 

reading is mainly for understanding the issue brought forward by the author through the written article. the points and discussion are ways the author expresses his/her understanding of the issue at hand while trying to make readers like me to comprehend the issue as much as possible. thus, i need to read for comprehension and derive an understanding of my own of the issue expressed by the author. 

i need the 'comprehension' and i need the 'understanding'. all the best to me then.
